Why We Created SocialWise VR: Our Story

At SocialWise VR, we believe in the power of technology to create meaningful change, especially for neurodiverse individuals. But before diving into what our app does, let’s share why we built it.

Our Journey Begins

As educators, therapists, and tech enthusiasts, we saw a gap in social skills training for neurodiverse communities. After years of working with individuals who needed the right tools to navigate social situations confidently, we realized traditional methods weren’t enough. That’s when we knew we needed something more immersive and engaging.

Meet the Founders

SocialWise VR was founded by Jenifer Shahin and Nicole Lockerman, long-time professionals in education and tech. Driven by a shared goal to make social skills training more accessible, they combined their expertise to create a virtual reality platform that offers a safe, interactive way to practice real-world scenarios.

Why SocialWise VR?

We created this app to empower neurodiverse individuals to thrive in social settings. From recognizing social cues to practicing conversations, SocialWise VR allows users to build confidence through lifelike, hands-on scenarios. Importantly, we collaborate with both neurodivergent practitioners and learners to ensure the experiences are tailored to their needs and preferences, making the learning process as effective and inclusive as possible.

This is just the beginning of our mission to make social skills training dynamic and innovative. We’re excited to have you along for the journey!
